We’re proud that a new, updated second edition of “Story-Based Inquiry: A manual for investigative journalists” is now online.

The first edition (UNESCO 2009) became a global standard. This one is better. It’s a rich compendium of skill and wisdom from leaders of the global investigative journalism movement, including Luuk Sengers, Deborah J. Nelson, Manisha Ganguly, Oleg Khomenok, Nils Hanson, Clothilde Redfern, Manisha Ganguly, Eva Constantaras, Paul Radu and many others.

Filled with case studies from around the world, tools, tips and methods, this new text builds on the success of the first edition, capturing the massive changes that took place in investigative journalism since 2009. It’s been called “the Bible”, “essential”, “inspiring”. It’s where beginners can take their first steps, and where trainers can find the foundation for their work.
